Frequently Asked Questions

Which SESAP 18 package should I select?

The most appropriate SESAP 18 package for you depends on several factors. The first is whether you are eligible for continuing medical education (CME) credit and if you will need the CME credit before October 31, 2022. Individuals who are not CME-eligible may only purchase NonCME packages.

The second is whether you would like to purchase all 13 categories or purchase by category. If you would like to receive a print version of the program, you must purchase all 13 categories.

What areas of general surgery does SESAP 18 cover?

SESAP 18 consists of 650 newly constructed, case-based, multiple-choice questions with concise critiques and supporting references.

The questions address 13 major content areas of general surgery: abdomen, alimentary tract, breast, endocrine, head and neck, legal/ethics, oncology, perioperative care, problems in related specialties, skin/soft tissue, surgical critical care, trauma, and vascular surgery. Visit the SESAP 18 content webpage for a description of each category.

What is SESAP 18

SESAP 18 Advanced was launched in August 2022 and features additional in-depth content for surgeons seeking further knowledge in specific areas.
